From the coach
I hold a Bachelor of Exercise and Sports Science from Charles Darwin University, where I developed a strong foundation in exercise physiology, biomechanics, and sports coaching. Over the past few years, I have developed my coaching skills and gained valuable experience by working with diverse age groups and skill levels.
My journey began with the Western Sydney Wanderers, where I ran a community program for three years, focusing on helping kids develop their soccer skills through engaging drills and games. This role ignited my passion for youth development and instilled in me the importance of making learning both fun and effective.
Currently, I am an Athlete Development Lead at the Territory Sports Academy, where I oversee programs designed to teach fundamental movement skills to children of various ages. In this role, I focus on enhancing physical attributes, such as speed and running techniques, while also promoting psychosocial development through fun games, teamwork, and challenges.
My playing background has been equally diverse and enriching. Starting as a junior player with Mindil Aces in 2013, I progressed to the first team in 2017. My playing career includes three years in NSW's NPL1 & NPL2 leagues and a stint in Melbourne. Now back in Darwin, I proudly rock the Aces colours!
Combining my academic background, coaching experience, and playing career, I am dedicated to fostering a positive and growth-oriented environment for young athletes. My goal is to help them achieve their full potential both on and off the field, nurturing not just their physical skills but also their confidence, teamwork, and love for the game.
